What Is A Keyword Search Tool?

If you own a website or a blog then you will need to have a Keyword Search tool.
But what is a Keyword search tool? It is a program that enables you to search for the best keywords to use as a title for a new post.
What is a keyword search tool
Why can’t I just use a title I like ? Well you can but unless you are extremely lucky your page will not rank highly with Google, Bing or Yahoo and if you are not ranked then the chances of it being read by many people is remote. You have gone to a lot of trouble to write something that would be useful or interesting to people. It would be a shame if no one got to see it especially when finding the right title would help to get it seen and then read.
A good Keyword search tool will allow you to write what you think you would like to call it and then give you data to help you to decide if it is useful or not. It should also give you alternatives that may be better.
What Is A Keyword Search Tool?
So what data do you need? The two most important ones are:
The average number of searches the term or phrase you used gets per month.(AVG)
The quoted search result which is the number of competing websites who are using the exact same phrase or term you have chosen. (QSR)
So let’s say you chose the phrase”How to write blogs for money” as your title. You put this into the search bar and the program searches the World Wide Web for you and comes up with AVG 2320 and QSR 300. Now this tells you it is not a great phrase to use because although lots of people search for it you will be competing with 300 + other websites to get ranked. And you won’t.
Let’s say you now change the phrase to “How to create blogs for money” and the result comes back as AVG 22 QSR 6. Now this is also not a great title because although you only have 6 competitors there are only 22 people searching for it.
You are looking for a phrase that gets an over 100 searches per month and has no more than 50 competitors.
In simple terms you want the highest AVG and the lowest QSR but don’t expect to have a phrase that is searched for, 1000s of times a month with little competition.
What Is A Keyword Search Tool?
Now I use two different Keyword search tools which give me the information I need to make great decisions when I decide on a title for my posts. One is a keyword tool within Wealthy Affiliates. This is where I have my websites hosted and where I write my posts. If you want more information about this, head over to my Wealthy Affiliates review by clicking here. It will open in a new page so you can come back here after you have taken a look.
The other is Jaaxy which I find is the best Keyword Search tool as it gives me the basic information I need and much more besides. Below is a Review of the Jaaxy Keyword Search tool.

Who is Jaaxy For?

In simple terms the answer is anyone who has a website or blog unless they are not keen on having their work read. It does happen! Jaaxy: Price

Below is their current pricing structure. It shows you what you get for the three different price structures. I suggest trying for free first. Well why wouldn’t you? and I am confident you will get so much from those first 30 searches it will be obvious you would want and need to upgrade to Pro or Enterprise if you are already an accomplished blogger or affiliate marketer.

My Final Opinion of Jaaxy

Excellent I would not be without it. It gives me everything I need to get my posts seen and read and as it is constantly updated it keeps an eye on what my competition are doing and what I need to do to improve. Just so you know I used the tool to get the title for this post and it has an AVG 1235 of and a QSR of 8. Cheers Jaaxy I couldn’t of done it without you.

Great post on keyword search. it seems like Jaaxy provides great tools for keywords search, in spite of some limitation. Do you usually test your keywords on google, yahoo, or bing?

Hi Olina and thank you for reading. Yes I will put the Keyword in the search engines but as I usually work from an I pad it doesn’t show me how many competitors there are. What they do show me is the most popular search term for the beginning of the sentence. It is always good if your whole term comes up quite quickly.
      Hope this helps

Very useful information. It helps to know if you are picking a worthy keyword when blogging. Is there a lot of keyword tools out there and which one would you recommend?

I actually have a question about QSR. I really want to know when can I target keywords with higher than 200 QSR.

Hi Furkan, thanks for the question.
As bloggers or website owners we should always be aiming for the lowest QSR we can. You may be successful with higher ones if your site is more seasoned and you have regular readers who comment often. What we must remember is that each page is ranked by the search engines not the whole site. If you have plenty of posts that rank highly then there is a chance readers will also read your posts with a higher QSR because they have already found your site and liked what they have read.
      Hope this is helpful
