PLR stands for Private Label Rights and is basically a way of purchasing pre written content and being able to edit it to make it your own.
There are hundreds of sites online that will sell you anything from one article to a whole package of articles in as many niches as you can possibly think of. Purchasing them is in my opinion very cheap. You can buy a package of 10 for $4, obviously some are more expensive depending on the site and the package. Many sites will also send you free samples in exchange for your email address.
There are several that run affiliate programs so that you can promote their packages and earn from your sales.
So How Can Purchasing Them Help You?
Well we all know as bloggers and website owners that writing content is not easy and it is hugely time consuming. Google favours those that blog or put out content on a regular basis, so we have to do it.
Sometimes we just don’t have the time, sometimes we get writers block…. we have all been there !
Now many bloggers will find themselves a trusted writer through platforms like Fiverr to help them out with this content problem. However, finding the right one can take time and you usually have to provide them with titles and keywords. The more you give them the better the content you will get back obviously. Many bloggers themselves, have a side hustle of content writing for others. There are some people whose whole career is content writing for other people’s blogs and websites.
This is obviously not going to come cheaply. The going rate for a 1000 word article is around……
If you don’t have the budget for this and you know putting out more content, than you actually have time for, will improve your site, rankings and earnings, then maybe PLR is your answer.
Things You Need To Know
If you have bought an article or articles on a whim and it’s really cheap, you might be disappointed with the content. Not necessarily but there is a chance.
It is better to buy from a site that comes recommended or that will send you samples.
If you have bought it, then other people will have bought it too. This throws up the problem of duplicate content which Google hates.
Remember though that you have bought the rights or license to use this content any way you like. This means that you can edit it, claim yourself as the author etc.
Personally I have never put out any post which I have not written from scratch…. yet! If I were to purchase an article, ebook or any type of content through PLR, I would edit it until it was no longer duplicate content and it sounded like me.
You might think, so what’s the point ?
Ever looked at that blank page and thought I have no idea where to start. If you already have a written article on your subject, how much easier would it be to just rearrange the paragraphs, change some words and add your own thoughts to it ?
There may also be articles in packages that you hadn’t even thought about writing about in your niche. You may find that you learn something…. let’s face it none of us know absolutely everything about our niche. Not even those who profess to be experts.
You can could also put the articles together to create an ebook or create a series of emails from them. The best sites will give you advice and a good description of what is included in the package you are buying.
So What Are The Best Sites
Well obviously when deciding to write this article I did my due diligence in researching a lot of the sites out there and bought a few packages for comparison.
The First that caught my attention was http://www.buyqualityplr.com and this was because they had a lot of products in lots of niches and they were very thorough in explaining their packages and what was in them. They even gave a sample of some of the content you would be getting. They also say they would only sell 50 of these packages which means the duplicate content is minimised. Their prices were really cheap too. $3.99 for 10 articles, so definitely no real risk if they were rubbish.
An email with the links to my posts were sent promptly, ready to download for me to use. The articles were all well written and between 600 and 700 words each. I will definitely been using them for inspiration for posts but I would need to expand on them as I think a 1000 words is my minimum. I would also need to break up the text with headlines but the hard work has been done for me. Copy paste, then edit so they sound like me.
What I also like about this site is that they offer trainings on using PLR and they give discounts for subscribers. They also have a page dedicated to promoting other sites they think are worthwhile trying. I guess they either own those too or have an affiliate account with them?
Another I tried was https://masterplr.com now I admit I only got their free download articles and they are not in my niche. They are specialists health and wellness but I think that using a PLR site that has a specialist subject may be a good option, in terms of getting great content. The free ones were again well written and around the 700 word count. What you do, also get with your packages are posters you can use to promote your post or put in your article. They also give you twitter promotional content with your paid PLR packages. They are a little more expensive however $30 for a package or they do a membership of $14 a month which allows you to download a package a month.
The last one I tried was https://www.plrproducts.com and I chose this one because they have not only PLR articles and packages but they have videos, audios and whole websites. They seem to cover every niche you can think of and their prices range from $2.99 to $249.99 ( but that is for a whole website )
They give you all the information you need to decide if it’s for you or not. I obviously chose a $2.99 product as it was really only for research purposes. The article again was well written and just under the 700 word count.
Now obviously there are lots more, some that are generalised and some that are niche specific. After researching for this post I think that I may have become a bit of a fan of PLR. Writing posts from scratch can be fun but there are times when I don’t really have the time or the inspiration.
I would definitely be doing a lot of editing though but that is so much easier than a blank page. Thankfully I use a site content tool within Wealthy Affiliate that when I go to publish checks if it’s duplicate content or not. If you want to find out more about Wealthy Affiliate read my post here.
I hope I have educated you in understanding what PLR is and how you could use it on your blog or website. Please feel free to leave me a comment on your own experiences with PLR or ask me a question and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

This Post contains affiliate links and if you use them and make a purchase I will recieve a small commission but it will not cost you anymore.
Hi Mong and thanks for reading. Glad I could be of help.
I think this is an affordable way to create content but do make sure you edit and make it your own.
Better than that blank page with no ideas.

This is a great ! I had never thought about having articles written for me. Seems like that would be so nice, because writing blog posts is time consuming. I think I might just check out these websites you have listed. Thanks for sharing!
Hi and thanks for reading,
Most successful bloggers have content written for them as it is so time consuming. This is a great and affordable way to get the basis of an article written for you. Though I stress that you do need to edit and make it your own.
No one wants duplicate content.

Hi Karen,
This is really new information to me, and I’ve been writing for 15 years. Your post is so well organized and undoubtedly
will benefit many. Though I love to write, I sometimes face that blank page with no ideas whatsoever. I just may check out one of your reviewed sources. Thanks for tips. Judy
Hi Judy and thanks for reading,
It never crossed my mind before I researched it but when you get that writers block and a blank page, I see it as a real help.
In my research I have purchased articles on subjects that I wouldn’t have thought of. However I stress that they should be used as inspiration and edited in your own style.

Have you ever used PLR content? I haven’t. I write my own stuff. I just worry that PLR content is recycled and other people are using spun versions. I worry that the internet will view it as duplicate content, which is something that I don’t want.
As I said in my post, thus far I haven’t but I have purchased an amount of articles that I know I can alter enough to ensure it is not duplicate content. It is so much better than a blank page.
I would never put out a copy and paste of the articles.

This article is wonderful
I did know about on-line sites such as Iwriter, Upword, Fivver but didn’t know about any of these sites you’ve recommended here
I wasn’t aware of private label rights either
this may be just what I’m looking for as writing blogs and filling up my website in general is proving a real stellar task for me
thanks a lot for this
Hi Oliver and thanks for reading.
Creating content for our sites is difficult and this is a cheaper option than the sites you mention.
Obviously you need to do some work to make the article your own, but much cheaper than a specific post written for you and definitely better than a blank page.

very interesting article, thank you so much for sharing. I agree with your comment that if you are going to purchase bundles of prewritten content, that you should use these as a starting point only and expand the word count and detail to personalize to your own writing style. But certainly an interesting concept if you need to get a lot of content fast. Cheers, Karen
Great post Karen!
I bought some free PLR last year, hoping for inspiration for blog posts, but I was under-whelmed. You get what you pay for!
Since then I have wondered how to get some decent content from somewhere else to make my life a bit easier, so I really appreciate your timely article.
Buy Quality PLR seems like the one to go with. If I was in a pinch, do you think it would be easy to just tweak the post and go? Or do the PLR articles that you bought really need to be fixed up ALOT to get by? I could totally live with a 700 word post tweaked to 800 or so if I really needed it.
Of the ones that you reviewed, which one seemed like the best deal to you?
Hi Irma and thanks for reading,
I couldn’t really give you a best site to use out of the two generalised sites. Both were delivered promptly and the quality of both were good with a similar amount of words.
If it were me I would do a search on both to find something you like the the sound of within your budget. Both give great descriptions of what you will be getting.
